meet the band...

Mike Corso, lead vocals and guitar, formed  Jack Toad in early 2018 during his regular appearances at the Tuesday night music jams at Lucy's in Pleasantville, NY. 

Mike's love of music began early in life; his dad would fill the house with Sinatra, Bennett, Ahmad Jamal, Count Basie, Errol Garner, and many more. Meanwhile, his sisters and brother were turning him on to Stevie Wonder, Santana, The Rolling Stones, and Kool & The Gang (pre-"Celebrate"). In his early teens, Mike became obsessed with The Allman Bros and Led Zeppelin, jazz rock fusion (played trumpet through high school), and The J Geils Band featuring Peter Wolf. After college, Mike started playing drums, keys, guitar, harmonica, percussion, and even saxophone.

Mike considers himself a very lucky husband & dad, fortunate brother, all around outdoors weekend warrior, sometimes a good cook and creative mixologist (thanks to this book).

Lead guitarist, Ira Langstein, is a walking musical encyclopedia and an old friend of Mike Corso's. 

Ira's style is influenced by the likes of The Beatles, Ray Davies and The Kinks, Steely Dan, and Traffic.

Ira is also an extraordinary dental specialist and responsible for Mike Corso's straightened pearly whites.

Bill Burkhardt, bass, is active in 3 bands bands in the Connecticut area and is bringing his years of experience to elevate Jack Toad throughout it's short and twisted journey.

Bill is an Application Technologist in Gartner's Strategic Technology Group. Dare you to ask him what he actually does.

For the past two years, Norbert Goldberg has been laying down steady beats that drive the Jack Toad ship. His addition to Jack Toad assures that the band will be able to ride atop the kind of rock solid, funky, locomotive backbone it craves. 

For his day job, Norbert, an educator, guides young minds.
